Thieves target concession stands at sports facilities

Part of the fun of going to a ball game or the swim club on a hot summer day is making a visit to the concession stand to get a cold drink or a snack. But unfortunately, there are some people who don’t understand that you have to wait for your turn and pay for your goodies.

• Unknown suspect(s) broke windows to enter the locked concession stand at Evergreen Recreational Association in the 1200 block of Walton Bluff Parkway in the Cottage Mill subdivision on Aug. 7. Consumable goods were reported stolen.

• Several locks on the concession stand at Lloyd C. Bird High School’s athletic field in the 10300 block of Courthouse Road were broken by unknown suspect(s) trying to gain entry on Aug. 8.

Anyone who has information about these incidents or any other crime is asked to call Crime Solvers at 748-0660. You can also submit a tip at www.crimesolvers.net or text WATSON plus your tip to 274637 (CRIMES).
