Man wanted in robbery

Police are searching for Paul Bernard Bell, 33, of 4301 Terminal Ave., Richmond, for the June 13 robbery of a home in the 4900 block of Oak Bluff Drive.

According to police, Bell and two other men forced their way into the home and robbed the occupants of money, cell phones and jewelry at gunpoint. Police believe some of the suspects and victims were acquainted.

Bell is black, 5 feet, 10 inches tall, and weighs 155 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.

Brandon R. Snead, 19, of the 100 block of Boykins Avenue in Colonial Heights; Jermaine L. Veney, 22, of the 5200 block of Hightower Road in Portsmouth; and two juveniles have already been arrested in connection with this robbery.

In other crimes:

Alfaree Road. At about 1:20 a.m. on July 20, a man was threatened at knifepoint and ordered to give over his wallet by someone in a car after they gave him a ride home from a bar. The victim handed over the wallet, then ran into his house in the 9700 block. The suspects sped away.

Bus Court Loop. Sometime between 5 p.m. on July 10 and 11 a.m. on July 16, a skid steer loader belonging to A.D. Whittaker Construction Company was stolen from a construction site in the 600 block.

Centralia Road. Between 9 p.m. on July 16 and 8 p.m. on July 17, someone broke a glass pane out of the front door and disabled the alarm system at a Subway restaurant in the 6500 block at the Chesterfield Meadows shopping center. Money and electronics were stolen.

Darrell Terrace. Between 8 p.m. on July 22 and 1 a.m. on July 23, someone entered the garage at a home in the 1500 block through a side door and stole a disabled motorcycle.

Handel Court. At about 11:05 a.m. on July 18, a couple of people asked a man for a cigarette in the parking lot in the 5500 block at Lantern Ridge Apartments. One of them then pulled a handgun and demanded the man's cash. The man handed over his wallet, and the suspects ran off with it.

Hull Street Road. At about 6 p.m. on July 21, a man noticed someone using a slim-jim-style tool to break into his car in the parking lot at the Oxbridge Square shopping center in the 10000 block. The man confronted the suspect. Another person drove up in what the man believed was an unmarked police car. The person from the car put the suspect inside and drove away.

Jefferson Davis Highway. Between 8 a.m. on July 2 and 12:30 p.m. on July 16, someone tried unsuccessfully to break into two drink machines at the Breckenridge shopping center in the 12800 block.

Luckylee Crescent. Between 8:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. on July 21, a rental car was stolen from a residence in the 3600 block. The car had been unlocked, and the keys left inside. State police later found the car after it had been involved in a police pursuit.

Midlothian Turnpike. Between 5 p.m. on July 19 and 8 a.m. on July 21, inspection stickers were removed from 17 cars on the Enterprise Car Sales lot in the 8600 block. All the cars had been left unlocked.

Restingway Lane. Between 7:30 a.m. on July 14 and 10:30 a.m. on July 15, someone broke a rear window of a home in the 5900 block and went in, stealing money and other property.

Seattle Slew Trail. At about 7:30 p.m. on July 22, a man reported that someone met him at his house in the 8200 block to sell him drugs. The dealer grabbed the man's money and ran. The man took chase, but the dealer pushed him down and left in his car.

Wadsworth Drive. Between 5 p.m. on July 21 and 6 a.m. on July 22, someone broke the front door on the Kwick Signs in the 200 block at the Midlothian Market shopping center and stole money and other property.

W. Hundred Road. Between 9 p.m. and 10:20 p.m. on July 21, someone broke into two drink machines at the Holiday Inn Express in the 1900 block, stealing money from one of them.
